I don't know if I'm 100% correct or incorrect, but I would say this is false.

Explanation:

Well, if you think about it: depending on the person you could be growing for a long time. Many people go on diets for many reasons, but I don't think they would need to ask their doctor before they go on a diet if their still growing. In an article it states " 10 is also the average age when children start dieting." and at the age of 10, your body is still developing. And (depending on the type of diet) you could just be trying to go on a diet in a part of making your meals more healthier, I don't see why you would need to ask a doctor about that before you try. I'm sorry if I am wrong, once again I do not know if I'm 100% correct or incorrect.
