bonufazy [111]
Well 4 copies of one tenth will equal 4 tenths. so when u simplify 4 over ten (4/10 )and divide the top and bottom by the common factor which is 2 then you will get 2 fifths  because 4 divided by 2 is 2 and 10 divided by 2 is 5.

I have to find two points for this eqaution.. x+1=0
lisov135 [29]

I think there is only one point x = -1.

Are you sure it's not x^2 + 1 = 0, if you had this equation the two points will be -1 and 1.

Or the equation was something like: x+1 =y?

If the equation is x+1=y.

First point: (-1,0)

Second point: (0,1)

//Hope this is what you are looking for. Sorry if it's incorrect.

For the function y=2+5 sin(pi/12(x-2)), what is the maximum value
loris [4]

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

the maximum value of the function y = -2+5sin(pi/12(x-2)) is determined by taking the first derivative of the function. The first derivative is equal ( 5 pi/ 12 )* sin ((pi/12) (x-2)) = 0. x is equal to 4472 through the calculator. Substituting to the original equation, the maximum value is 3.

hope this helps

  • Equality Properties
  • Solving systems of equations using substitution/elimination

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define Systems</u>

y = x - 4

y = 4x + 2

<u>Step 2: Solve for </u><em><u>x</u></em>

<em>Substitution</em>

  1. Substitute in <em>y</em>:                    x - 4 = 4x + 2
  2. Isolate <em>x </em>terms:                   -4 = 4x + 2
  3. Isolate <em>x</em> term:                     -6 = 4x
  4. Isolate <em>x</em>:                              -3/2 = x
  5. Rewrite:                               x = -3/2

<u>Step 3: Solve for </u><em><u>y</u></em>

  1. Define equation:                    y = x - 4
  2. Substitute in <em>x</em>:                       y = -3/2 - 4
  3. Subtract:                                 y = -11/2
