Can u guys review my introduction paragraph about unrealistic beauty standards? I also need some suggestions on how to make this

longer.
Here it is:

A beauty standard is what’s used in our society to define a person’s attractiveness ranging from many different features some including the eyes, lips, and the body shape of someone. The issue with these beauty standards set are they’re simply unrealistic and they cause a great deal of harm to those following them.

Answer:

ah yes ofc !

Explanation:

this is a great example on unrealistic beauty standards <3

heres something you could possibly add to make the paragraph a tad longer !

A beauty standard is based on our societys prefrences on attractiveness. This can range from our lips, eyes, and our very own body shape. The varying issues on these standards are that they simply are not realistic. They expect others to look perfect, when in fact, we are our own people born with unique facial features and body types.

Which detail supports the inference that Holmes believes in the importance of reliable alliances when solving mysteries?
Sidana [21]

"Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Best of Sherlock Holmes" is a set of recounts about some of the most iconic cases that were solved by Sherlock Holmes. Holmes is obsessed with ascertaining the truth, and while his personality does not lend to partnership, he realizes that reliable alliances are crucial to his ability to uncover clues which he otherwise would not be able to obtain on his own.

In this one “A Scandal in Bohemia,” Holmes employs his most consistent partner, Dr. Watson. After entering Irene Adler’s house, he signals to Watson to drop in a smoke rocket through the window which allows him to determine Adler’s most prized possession which she reaches for when she believes a fire has started.

In “The Man with the Twisted Lip,” Watson finds that Holmes disguised in an opium den.

Something important to highlight is that Holmes understands that he cannot always form alliances with his detective identity and he must utilize disguises in order to gain the trust of others.

These are the alliances that are not always in a human form. In “The Adventure of Silver Blaze,” the case is broken open when Holmes realizes that the only reason the dog would not bark in the night is if the dog recognized the perpetrator, which immediately drastically narrows the suspect pool. In other cases, Holmes uses a hound in order to track scents.

Hope this helps.

How is the adjective and adverb used here? 'She walked slowly to it; to the elongated, black, metal gate.'
baherus [9]

Answer: The adverb slowly describes the verb walked. It basically says HOW the person walks (like did they walk fast, slow, at an average pace, etc., and in this case, it says that they walked in a slow manner).

Edit: so I’m assuming effect is like the mood of the story created, and I’d say that it creates a somber, suspenseful feeling, opposed to if she was walking quickly, which would create a rushed mood.
