In 3–5 sentences, explain why the moon appears to be less bright than the sun despite its very close distance to Earth.
barxatty [35]

Hi there! So I have two answers for you, feel free to use both or one of them :)

#1 The moon only seems bright in the night sky because it is so close to the earth and because the trees, houses, and fields around you are so dark at night. In fact, the moon is one of the least reflective objects in the solar system.

#2 the moon would also be just another dull orb if not for the sun's rays? The moon shines because its surface reflects light from the sun. And despite the fact that it sometimes seems to shine very brightly, the moon reflects only between 3 and 12 percent of the sunlight that hits it.

I hope this helps! Please inform me if my answer didn't help you or if it was incorrect. Thank you so much for saying thanks if you did, and have a great rest of your day or night love <3

Which processes bring about changes in the temperature and/or salinity of surface waters?
Gekata [30.6K]
However, ocean currents also flow thousands of meters below the surface. These deep-ocean currents are driven by differences in the water's density, which is controlled by temperature (thermo) and salinity (haline). This process is known as thermohaline circulation.

_________ are underground areas that have the ability to contain and provide water sources.
ozzi

The answer is D. There are different types of aquifers (such as the unconfined and confined aquifers), however, they are all made up of permeable rock that holds underground water. The aquifer could be sandwiched between impermeable rocks called aquitard that restrict the movement of the water in the aquifer. This type is called a confined aquifer.
