The reason she called the hospital is because she has anxiety and is suffering from paranoia about being alone, She realized that her husband did not go home, so, she quickly called the hospital so that the nurse could spend the night with her. (The husband did not come because he was on a business trip). And then, she overheard two men saying that they were going to kill an alone woman, who lives alone near bridge, so, that increased her to want to call the hospital since she thought they were talking about her.
