Answer:

Red Line

m = 1/2

b = 1

Blue Line

m = 1

b = -1

Green Line

m = 3

b = 0

Step-by-step explanation:

First off, we need to know what m and b are first.

m is the slope

b means y-intercept, or, when x is 0

And to find slope use "m = y2 - y1/x2 - x1" (remember, Rise over Run, not Run over Rise!)

<u>Red line</u>: if you count it, you get a point on the line each time you go up once and to the right twice. We can use Rise over run. Rise is y, or its name, go up, which is the 1. then the run which is 2. So, the slope is 1/2 or m = 1/2. and we can see that the y-intercept is 1. m = 1/2, b = 1

<u>Blue Line</u>: This is pretty much the same as the red line, see the slope it's rise once and run once so, the slope is 1/1 which is 1. Then the y-intecept is b which is when x is 0, we check the y-axis line and we see that the y-intercept is -1. m = 1, b = -1

<u>Green Line</u>: And once again, the same as Red Line and Blue Line, the slope is 3. Rise is 3 times, run is once, so, 3/1 which is 3. While the y-intercept is 0 since it is on (0,0). Meaning that it goes through the origin. m = 3, b = 0

How can you quickly calculate 20 percent of any bill amount?
Tems11 [23]
First, convert the percent into a decimal. To do this, simply more the % sign two places to the left and make it into a decimal point.

20% = 0.20

Then we will let x be our bill amount.

Then multiply 0.20 and x together to get your answer.

So, 0.20 * x is your answer.

What is the value of f(x) = 2 • 2^x for f(–2)? Will Give brainliest answer!!!
Sedbober [7]
For f(-2), x will equal -2.

Plug the x-value into the equation:

2 \times 2^{-2}

A negative exponent means that the term turns into a fraction, with 1 as the numerator and the positive exponent as the denominator.
Solve 2^(-2):

2^{-2} =  \frac{1}{2^{2}} =  \frac{1}{4}

Solve the problem:

2 \times \frac{1}{4} = \frac{1}{2}

f(-2) will equal 1/2.

If you flip a fair coin 6 times, what is the probability that you will get exactly 4 tails
mars1129 [50]

Answer: So the number of outcomes with exactly 4 tails is 720/2/24 = 15. Finally we can now calculate the probability of getting exactly 4 tails in 6 coin tosses as 15/64 = 0.234 to 3 decimal places.

Given f(x)=-x-1, solve for x when f(x)=6.
Yanka [14]

<u>Answer:</u>

x = -7

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

<em>f(x) </em>= -x - 1

when <em>f(x) </em>= 6:

- x - 1 = 6

-x = 7                   [Add 1 to both sides]

x = -7                   [Divide both sides by -1]
