The purpose of Christopher Columbus's initial voyage is to discover gold and other minerals

Answer: Option C

Explanation:

Vasco da Gama's discovery of India led to start a trade route between India and Portuguese. This was the start of the spice trade between Asia and Europe. Columbus had his own ambition called 3G's so that he wanted to discover a route to Asia.

His 3G's were to discover Gold, attain Glory and spread words about God. Also, he wanted to sail to the lands where Europeans never been there before. After the fall of Constantinople by Seljuk Turks, the trade routes went under the Muslims control.

The trade between Europe and Asia through Silk Roads were stopped. This was also the reason for many that motivated people to find new routes to Asia.

Explain why no modern nations have a purely free-market economy?
alina1380 [7]
The reason why there are no nation states with pure free market economies (capitalist economies) is because this would most likely cause corruption in the upper 10% and damage the other 90%. All land owners, business owners, etc. can charge as much as they want for their products, pay their employees as little (or as much) as they want, and get to decide how much and of what is made. This is because in a free market economy, there is very little to no government intervention, meaning little to no regulations on the economy, meaning the rich and wealthy can control how the economy is run.
