Answer:

It was around 2 pm, and I was walking down Green Boulevard to the grocery store. I didn't really pay attention to the woman across the street, also taking a stroll, and lugging a giant, fancy bag. Then, a man with a bushy beard and a baseball cap throwing shadows across his face walked past the woman. I heard a shout and saw the man snatching the bag away from the lady, shoving her away and running. I helped the woman off the ground, and called 9-1-1.

krok68 [10]
Well, since jaunt and excursion mean relatively the same things, they are near synonyms, we are looking here for a word that has a relatively similar meaning to that of 'resignation'. Since you didn't give us any examples, I will just list you some of its synonyms: departure, retirement, termination, abdication, leaving, notice, abandonment, withdrawal, etc.

Which rethorical mode does the following passage use?
Lady bird [3.3K]
I would say that the correct answer would be "Definition", as the passage is defining Americans' respect, or lack thereof, for Native culture.

What is the term called for the opponent of the main character in a story?.
jeyben [28]

Antagonist, in literature, the principal opponent or foil of the main character, who is referred to as the protagonist, in a drama or narrative. The word is from the Greek antagonists, “opponent or rival.”

The antagonist is the primary opponent of the protagonist, and the biggest obstacle standing between the main character and their goal. This term also derives from Greek: anti, meaning “against,” and agonist, meaning actor.

Like the protagonist, the antagonist can take many different forms. From the traditional villain working alone, to a group of people, a force of nature, or even an intrinsic conflict, the one uniting factor of all antagonists is that they challenge the protagonist in some way.
