Write a summary for the story ""personal best"" written by John frizell

English
1 answer:
Contact [7]3 years ago
6 0

Answer:

"Personal best" is a story about an athlete named Jeremy that competes in the Olympics of the year 2052 along with another woman called Amy. The particular situation in the story is that the other competitors are robots (they are called "robothletes"). They both run and they both break the previous record for a man and a woman in the Olympics, however, Jeremy ends up fifth (Amy finishes after him) but everyone cheers him up because he did his best and he is the fastest man in the world.

Explanation:

To complete this exercise, you have to read the story "Personal best" written by John Frizell and then write a summary about it.

It is important to write the most important things about the story because to summarize (or to write a summary) means to explain the main points from a story.

"There was a murmur among the group of men, made more ______ when Atticus moved back to the bottom front step and the men drew n
Fofino [41]
Not sure about the exact circumstances of this question but if I had to choose I’d say C. “Ominous” would be the best word for the blank.

Seldom means rarely, or not often. Doesn’t sound right in the sentence so I eliminated it.

Inquisitive means curious, doesn’t fit the theme created by the “murmur” which sounds much darker.

Stark means out of place, sort of. This is the second best answer but it doesn’t seem as if the men drawing nearer to him was stark at all.

Ominous is basically “creepy, dark, unusual” vibes. It’s like, oh god something bad’s gonna happen, this atmosphere is so ominous. Which fits the sentence best, I think. But I have not read the text nor your teacher’s specific requirements.

What is the rhyme scheme of Stars by Sara Teasdale?
Leya [2.2K]
Since a rhyme scheme is the repetitive form of letters coordinating with rhyming words. You would so to the lat word of each line giving it a letter, you start with A. The progress to the second line if it rhymes with the word in the line above it is also A but if it does not rhyme it will be B. You would continue going down the alphabet seeing if any lines match. I got ABCB DEFE GHIH JKGB LMC. Hope this helps!
