As we pulled into the driveway, the first thing I noticed was the cold unnerving state of our neighbors for the weekend. One of them was a short portly man with a stub nose and wore glasses, glaring at us from the window. His face scrunched and curled in disgust, it immediately disappeared once he saw me notice him. The other is a middle aged blonde haired woman and her pig-tailed daughter, who sat on the their porch swing and gave us a smile. What struck me was the sense of terror on both of their faces, like some otherworldly force kept them there to greet passersby. A cold shivering hand placed itself on my shoulder and I jumped in my seat. Lauren, the owner, laughed and nudged me to leave the car, unknowing we were moving ever closer to our eventful dark terrible fate. (I changed some words)
