Given:

The table of values.

To find:

The explicit rule for the given table of sequence.

Solution:

From the given table, it is clear that the 1st ,2nd ,3rd ,4th terms of the sequence are 12, 22, 32, 42.

In the sequence, the difference between two consecutive terms are same and for the sequence,

First term: a=12

Common difference: d= 22- 12 = 10

The explicit rule for an arithmetic sequence is

f(n)=a+(n-1)d

Where, a is the first term and d is the common difference.

Putting a=12 and d=10, we get

f(n)=12+(n-1)10

f(n)=12+10n-10

f(n)=10n+2

Therefore, the correct option is B.

Brooke cooked a 4/1/3-pound lasagna in 1/1/3 hours. How many hours per pound did it take to cook the lasagna?
Hitman42 [59]

Answer:

4/13 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Total pounds of lasagna = 4 1/3 pounds

Total time taken to cook = 1 1/3 hours

How many hours per pound did it take to cook the lasagna?

Hours per pound of lasagna = Total time taken to cook / Total pounds of lasagna

= 1 1/3 hours ÷ 4 1/3 pounds

= 4/3 ÷ 13/3

= 4/3 × 3/13

= 4/13 hours

It will take 4/13 hours to cook each pound of the lasagna

A science museum makes gift bags for students using 168 magnets, 48 robot figurines, and 24 packs of freeze-dried ice cream. How
skelet666 [1.2K]

Answer:

  • 7 magnets
  • 2 robot figurines
  • 1 pack of freeze-dried ice cream

Step-by-step explanation:

The greatest common factor of 24, 48, and 168 is 24, so 24 gift bags can be made. Each will have 1/24 of the number of gift items of each type that are available.

In each bag are ...

  • 1/24 × 168 magnets = 7 magnets
  • 1/24 × 48 robot figurines = 2 robot figurines
  • 1/24 × 24 packs of ice cream = 1 pack of ice cream

_____

One way to find the greatest common factor (GCF) is to consider whether the smallest number divides all the numbers. If so (as here), then that is the GCF. If not, then consider the smallest difference between any pair of numbers, to see if it divides all of the numbers. If not, then test the smallest positive remainder from any of those divisions. Repeat until you have found a common divisor (which may be 1).
