Imagine if Medieval Law and Order was to be applied to modern society. Do you think the crime
kirill115 [55]
I believe it would decrease due to the severity of the punishments. In modern society, we provide prisoners and criminals with basic necessities so they have nothing to fear about committing crimes, but back then they didn’t so people were more scared of being bad

Hope this helps

Which statement best explains why immigrants and factory owners worked together but often lived in different parts of a city?
notka56 [123]

The best option from the list would be that "Public transportation made it possible for factory owners to live in parts of a city that immigrants could not afford," since the immigrant workers during this time were paid very little money and often lived in terrible conditions.

Historian Bill Bigelow once wrote that the ”...abolition movement seeded the movement for women’s rights in the United States.”
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

Both the abolitionist movement and the women's rights movement were part of the larger progressive movement that influenced American Politics during the nineteenth century and early twentieth century.

For this reason, both movements aimed for equal treatment of a particular opressed group: African Americans, who wer enslaved, in the case of the abolitionist movement, and Women, who had less civil and political rights than men, in the case of the Feminist Movement.

Both movements were very successful because they achieved their main goals: the end of slavery and women's suffrage.
