Writing about<br>craze toy
solmaris [256]

Answer:

I'll try. Here goes nothing lol.

Explanation:

She had Scarlet-red hair, buttons for eyes and a careless squiggle for a mouth. Her skin was patchy with age and her smile was wobbly from the wear and tear.

She was named Sally, she was also my childhood toy.... No, not toy... Childhood companion, friend, sister even. We shared every memory and thought the same thought.... Literally.

I came to this realization when she turned her head towards me, by herself, when I was five years old, getting ready for a play sate with the new neighbor's daughter, Nicole.

I had thought it was my overly active imagination playing tricks on me again, but my imagination never attached a voice to her body, not once. Her voice sounded so playful, like she was scheming a funny prank or something. She would suggest to me to hide mum's loose change, reset the timer on dad's alarm clock and pull on my brother's hair.

It was funny at first, mostly because it was harmless, it was funny on both ends. But then she asked me to steal mum's favorite kitchen cleaver...

I was scared too, but her playful, cheeky tune somehow had me convinced that this would turn out hilarious.... And besides, I was only eleven.

A race to the kitchen, a fake excuse to make mum turn around and I was gone like an east wind.

When I got upstairs she was singing an obscure tune, like a siren's song.

'Let's play doctor, Heather!' She kept repeating the hypnotic tune.

She made it obvious who was supposed to be the patient as she laid flat on her back, with her empty eyes trained on me.

I actually, for the first time, tried to resist this urge she was imposing on me. But it felt like I was in too deep to back out.

A few steps led me to her stiff body, ignoring the dull, almost inaudible yells of protest coming from my now locked bedroom door.

Mom? D-dad?... Kyle?

But I couldn't falter.

I reached out with the heavy blade and thrust it into her chest. The only thing I remembered was her beady eyes jumping right into mine....

The end.

I hope this was good enough.
