Answer :

In O. Henry's "The Gift of the Magi," despite loving her long hair, Della cuts it and sells it. The following reasons motivated her to take this step :

a. her selfless love for Jim

d. her wish to buy a Christmas present for Jim

The following lines from the story give the answer to the question.

"Only $1.87 to buy a present for Jim. Her Jim. Many a happy hour she had spent planning for something nice for him. Something fine and rare and sterling—something just a little bit near to being worthy of the honor of being owned by Jim. "

Della is a loving person and there is nothing more she loves in this world than her husband Jim. She has been saving for months in order to buy a decent Christmas present for her husband.

Nastasia [14]

Answer and Explanation:

In my point of view, we will start to become to lazy to clean everything, since we would see that there is so much that isn't clean. This can poorly affect our hygiene and can make us sick. It can make us sick by interacting in places that aren't sanitary, in which we could get sick or bacterial infections from germs that weren't cleaned up. Places we could be affected when it isn't cleaned are amusement parks, schools, restrooms, restaurants, and even our own homes.

Communication accommodation theory

Explanation:

Communication accommodation theory, developed by Howard Giles, the professor of communication at the University of California, is a theory of communication that explains the adjustments people make while communicating with others.
