Kublai Khan can be considered to have been more successful than Genghis Khan because he vastly improved and increased the size of the empire of his father, but more importantly, he was recruiting staff which were capable for thir positions and were able to perform as was necessary. Both of these things lead to a stronger Mongol empire.
