Which of the following is false about John B. Watson? He is considered the founder of behaviorism. He is famous for demonstratin
Afina-wow [57]

The false statement about John B. Watson is the one that says that he worked with Edward C. Tolman to prove that fear is both an instinct and a reflex.

Although he worked on the subject through the Little Albert Experiment, he did not work with Edward C. Tolman but with Rosalie Rayner, his assistant and later couple.

In the experiment, Watson intended to demonstrate how the principles of classical conditioning, which had just been raised by Ivan Pavlov in those years, could be applied to a child's fear reaction to a white rat.

Which statement best explains how the Compromise of 1850 attempted to resolve debates over the expansion of slavery ?
Feliz [49]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you did not attach the options for this question.

However, trying to help you we can comment on the following.

The statement that best explains how the Compromise of 1850 attempted to resolve debates over the expansion of slavery is "The compromise allowed California to join the United States as a free state but would allow slavery in southwestern territories."

Under the compromise of 1850, the territories that we're able to choose by popular sovereignty whether or not to allow slavery were New Mexico and Utah.

The United States had defeated the Mexican Army in the Mexican-American War that started in 1846 and ended in 1848. With the victory, the United States got new big portions of land that belonged to México. But many disputes started in the US about the issue of slavery in the territories. That is why under the Compromise of 1850, the government allowed New Mexico and Utah to decide whether or not to allow slavery, while California entered the Union as a free state.

Which two countries formed and founded the Axis Powers?
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Answer: Italy and Germany

Explanation: On May 22, 1939, Italy and Germany agree to a military and political alliance, giving birth formally to the Axis powers, which will ultimately include Japan.  Mussolini coined the nickname “Pact of Steel” (he had also come up with the metaphor of an “axis” binding Rome and Berlin) after reconsidering his first choice, “Pact of Blood,” to describe this historic agreement with Germany. The Duce saw this partnership as not only a defensive alliance, protection from the Western democracies, with whom he anticipated war, but also a source of backing for his Balkan adventures. Both sides were fearful and distrustful of the other, and only sketchily shared their prospective plans. The result was both Italy and Germany, rather than acting in unison, would often “react” to the precipitate military action of the other. In September 1940, the Pact of Steel would become the Tripartite Pact, with Japan making up the third constituent of the triad.
