Conflict = Man vs. Man

Explanation:

The zombies are the opposition to Kyle's survival, and therefore, as Kyle is the protagonist, they are the antagonists. The conflict does not have to do with nature (unless the story goes in the direction of a viral infection), nor does it have to do with societal problems  or conflicts within Kyle. Therefore, it is not man vs. society or man vs. self. That leaves man vs. man as the conflict type.
