Answer:

I was seven years old. I was playing with my cousin when a fall hurt my arm. The pain was unbearable and I was sure that I was going to die. My parents rushed me to the hospital where they were to leave me alone to be prepared for surgery.

Explanation:

I don´t remember much about the experience because I was so young, in pain, and heavily sedated. However, while the doctors were working on my arm I felt a presence by my side, a comforting voice out of nowhere telling me everything was going to be all right. Might have been my imagination, but the lasting impression of having someone watching over me made me a true believer in the existence of a higher being.
