This also eventually led to Pontiac's War, which was a large native uprising.

Before the war, the colonies were very separated. There really wasn't very much unity among them (which is pretty ironic because they became the <u>united </u>states of America). Having to be part of a war with Britain really helped increase the synergy and unity of the colonies, which ultimately prepared them for the Revolutionary War.
