Read the quotation from "an occurrence at owl creek bridge." these pains appeared to flash along well-defined lines of ramificat

ion and to beat with an inconceivably rapid periodicity. they seemed like streams of pulsating fire heating him to an intolerable temperature. as to his head, he was conscious of nothing but a feeling of fullness—of congestion. these sensations were unaccompanied by thought. the intellectual part of his nature was already effaced; he had power only to feel, and feeling was torment. he was conscious of motion. encompassed in a luminous cloud, of which he was now merely the fiery heart, without material substance, he swung through unthinkable arcs of oscillation, like a vast pendulum. then all at once, with terrible suddenness, the light about him shot upward with the noise of a loud splash; a frightful roaring was in his ears, and all was cold and dark. the power of thought was restored; he knew that the rope had broken and he had fallen into the stream. the language and the pace of the narration in the excerpt help the reader understand that farquhar wishes he had not survived. help the reader understand farquhar's experience and emotions. indicate to the reader that farquhar feels a deep sense of relief. indicate to the reader that farquhar was able to untie his noose before he fell.

The pace and the kind of narration here are used especially to show the reader what Farquhar is feeling at the moment he was let hanging from the bridge. The writer tries to convey to the reader the feeling of being hanged. In this case the experience apparently ends with the nose breaking and Farquhar falling. The plot twist at the end makes this scene even more dramatic.

A change in the level of a "Hormone" can effect how you react...

Hormones are a product of various glands in human body and consist of some “signaling molecules”. Usually they are to be found in multicellular life forms. After they are produced, they are carried by the circulation system to other parts of the body and can affect them physically as well as psychologically.

Compared with other ethnicities, it is much more common for blacks and Hispanics to enter stepfamilies through__________________
hammer [34]

Answer:

- Non marital childbearing and cohabitation

Explanation:

As per the question, it is compared with other ethnic groups it becomes quite common for the black inhabitants and the Hispanics to enter into step-families through 'non-marital childbearing and cohabitation'. The childbearing enables such couples to enter into 'step families' that entirely redefines the traditional definition of family and its experience as these elements together contribute to reshape the family experience(as two people cohabit together with one or both parent having a child from their previous relationship) in the U.S.
