Some good examples of dramatic irony in the play "Oedipus The King" are as follows:

1. Oedipus has been seeking to find out the murderer of King Laius in order to solve the plague. This is dramatic irony because we know Oedipus murdered King Laius, but Oedipus himself doesn't know this.

2. Oedipus said he would is willing to search out the murderers of King Laius with all of his might, as he would for his own father. This is dramatic irony because Oedipus doesn't realize that King Laius is his father (and that he was the one who killed King Laius).

3. Oedipus is the blindest when he calls Tiresias, the seer blind. This is dramatic irony because the blind man is the one who actually sees the truth.

4. Oedipus can answer the impossible Sphinx-riddle, but he has no answer to the riddle of his own existence.

5. Every attempt that King Oedipus makes to avert danger, only serve to bring it nearer.
