"Follow me!" she whispered...

I tilted my head and looked at her in confusion, "Where are we going?"

Rena laughed, "That's a secret!"

She led me into a room with no windows, I took my backpack off and sat down on the floor. " Why are we here? I have to go somewhere else, I don't like being here."

Rena rolled her eyes, "Ugh, quit your whining, don't you know? This is the most famous haunted place right now so we're just gonna check if the stories are true."

I looked down, "What...what stories?"

"Pfft, don't worry about it." Rena looked through her purse, "Let's see, ugh, my phone is dying! Do you have your phone? I need the flashlight thingy!"

"Um, yes." I looked through my backpack. I couldn't find my phone. Where is it? Where did I put it?

<em>Rena screamed.</em>

<em />

"Rena, stop screaming at me, I'm trying my best to find it, okay?" dang it...where did I leave it?

There were a bunch of chargers and wires inside my bag. I must have brought them here.

"Oh, there it is!" My phone was beating and vibrating...

But it was all so strange...

"Rena, I found my-"

I woke up. Rena was lying on the ground, dead.

<em>"RENA...WHAT HAPPENED?!"</em>

I looked at my hands, they were bloody.

The chargers and wires... they were all Rina's intestines and organs...

My phone... was her heart...

I finally understood. All of those reports from this place, all of those people who were blamed... they were all controlled, like me.

Why are authors discourages from using cliches?
irinina [24]

Answer:  Here's why you shouldn't use cliches in your writing: It muddies your story's originality - It's hard to read a story that's riddled with common slang and overused ideas. Using cliches can dilute your story and make it sound pedestrian.
