What do we learn from Jonathan and Dr. Seward’s journal entries?

English
1 answer:
True [87]3 years ago
8 0

Answer:

The love which Arthur, Quincey, and Seward had for Lucy has been basely transfigured into hate at the sight of Lucy; moreover, it is somewhat surprising that these lusty men are disgusted at the abundant sensuality of Lucy, now that she is a vampire. When she approaches Arthur in her vampire form, it is with a sensual embrace. Instead of arousing passion, however, there is only a feeling of repulsion and disgust. It is clear that in her vampire form, Lucy's carnal aspect is highlighted and emphasized.

Explanation:

This novel has set the course for all subsequent vampire lore — for example, the belief that a wooden stake must be driven through the vampire's heart and that the head must be removed and the mouth stuffed with garlic. All of the numerous, subsequent treatments of the vampire legend depend on these factors.

Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

Mr. Conrad will need 14  cups of cherries to make 8 pies

Explanation:

Given;

A pie recipe =  1 3/4 cups of cherries = ⁷/₄ cups of cherries

8 pies will require how many cups of cherries ?

This is a proportion problem;

1 pie of recipe = ⁷/₄ cups of cherries

8 pies = x

x = 8 x  ⁷/₄ cups of cherries

x = 2 x 7  cups of cherries

x = 14  cups of cherries

Therefore, Mr. Conrad will need 14  cups of cherries to make 8 pies

17. Which phrase accurately defines the term narrative?
Alina [70]

Answer:

3

Explanation:

To be sincerely honest in my humble opinion without being sentimental and of course, without offending anyone who thinks differently from my opinion but rather looking into this serious matter with perspective distinction and without condemning anyone's point of view, I honestly think and believe that I have nothing to say.
