Which of the following sentences uses commas and apostrophes correctly?
sashaice [31]

Answer: My favorite books are J.R.R. Tolkein's Lord of the Rings series, but I love the older classics like Jane Eyre, too. (Tolkein's, series, Jane Eyre, too.)

We are talking about a person's favorite books. This person points out that they love the Lord of the Rings series writen by J.R.R. Tolkein, so this translates in J.R.R. Tolkein's Lord of the Rings series. This eliminates option B's serie's (as the word is series and if we wanted to make it possesive, it would be series'). This also eliminates the last option as they mention J.R.R. Tolkeins without the possesive Tolkein's. Finally, the word "rings" does not require a possesive as it's a plural, so this rules out the third option giving you option A as an answer

Which of the following is an example of an appeal to logic? It is good to support your siblings when they feel happy. This is a
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]
I believe the correct answer is Every time my brother smiles, he laughs thirty seconds later. My brother just smiled. Therefore, he will laugh in under a minute.

All the other statements are of subjective nature. The claims they make are not verifiable in any way. They can't be regarded as either true or false, nor is there a cause and effect relation between their parts. Only the fourth statement has a form of a syllogism, where the conclusion stems from premises which are presumed to be true.

What might Schlosser want people to do after reading this
selection?
alexandr1967 [171]

Explanation:

I could not find the selection that is missing in your question but I assume that you are talking about Eric Schlosser. He is most famous for his investigative journalism. He wrote ''Fast Food Nation'' and I think that you are talking about it because it is his most famous work.

 • In ''Fast Food Nation'' he is trying to inform people about the food they are eating at the fast-food restaurants and about what is prepared for them. The main idea of his work was to show everyone what the food production and preparation in America actually is and how commercialism and consumerism are having an effect on us and our children.
 • He surely wanted people to eat healthier and to be aware of the fast-food restaurant and how bad that kind of food can be for us.
 • But since the question is what he 'might' wanted I think that it is considering our\my own opinion and I think that he also might want people to begin avoiding meat. I think that because he was talking a lot about meat preparation and also later in the movie ''Chew on this'', an adaptation of ''Fast Food Nation'', he is talking about the ways chickens die and how the meat is packed and more.
