The meaning of the word detract should be distract because the word detract means lessen the worth of something like subtraction, and so insult means to hurt someone with words/speech not lessen so no, not vary because that's like checking and pending so no, and not attract because that means pulling something/someone closer so no. The answer is distract because its taking someone/something away from another.

Bali is a lovely Indonesian island and tropical paradise. It is a lush, green place, with rice fields and forest-covered mountai
sveta [45]

Answer: Hi! A useful summary of this passage would focus on D (the natural and man-made features of Bali).

Explanation: The paragraph shown isn't exploring enjoyable things to do in Bali. Secondly, descriptions of Bali's buildings, in particular, wouldn't be necessary if they could be summarized along with man-made and non-man-made features of Bali. Finally, some facts about traveling to Bali could be nice, but they are also not essential for summarizing the atmosphere of the landscapes Bali has to offer. Thus, D is the best answer.

I hope that this helps you out! Have a good day! :)

Please give me the correct answer.Only answer if you're very good at English. Please don't put a link to a website.
Alexandra [31]

I think either excited or confused. Since the first sentence is well, with an exclamation point, I guess I would lean towards excited. It would help to know more of the story.
