Bleeding Kansas was in the time of 1854-1859 when it was decided if Kansas was going to be free or slave-owned and there was a lot of violence occurring.
Early people in what is now southern Chile relied on shellfish and seals for food because they were mostly hunter-gatherers, and some of the tribes were oriented towards hunting and gathering in the coast, while others were more oriented towards the land. The tribes that were in the coast hunted fish, sea birds, otters, seals, whales and shellfish in winter, because that's what they had avaible to them.
