What if a new fiber was discovered that replaced cotton in clothing?

If a new fiber was discovered that replaced cotton, there would be much less cotton farms, although I am sure people will still buy cotton clothing.

What effect would this development have on cotton planters?

It would effect cotton planter's because the less cotton that get's produced and bought, the planters would go in debt or have to find a new specialty away from cotton farming.

Write a paragraph explaining how falling cotton prices might lead to less demand for farm workers.

Falling cotton prices might lead to less demand for farm workers because landowners would cut production or began switch to crops that need less labor. Also with falling cotton prices might lead to less demand for farm workers because with prices falling there would be less money to pay the cotton farmers for there work, with this more of those workers would lose there jobs and there would no longer be a need for cotton farmers.

Andrews [41]

Answer:

No

Explanation:

There are many other ways of getting your point across. Peaceful protests work just as effectively, if not more. Just look at the examples of MLK, or Gandhi, or all the other marches that have been held around the world to fight for change.
