Answer:

to help readers understand what happens next

Explanation:

Context, or background information, is important in an essay, because it provides information necessary for the reader to understand the information and arguments that will be presented during the essay. In this case, the author of the essay can present the historical context to which the essay was presented, the events that will be explained, the main theme that will be developed, among others. This will provide a basis for the reader to get situated and understand what the essay will be presenting.

What is most likely one of the themes of Denise Levertov’s “In Thai Binh (Peace) Province”
Vesna [10]

Answer:

The most likely themes of the poem is:

A. A war-torn places can find peace

Explanation:

As introduced by Levertov, this poem recalled the time of Christmas in 1972 - when it was the season of peace, holiday in the US, instead of the peace, it was during the bombing in Vietnam. Writing this poem, Levertov moved the images from the violence of the war with the sight of a child with its feed blown off, bombed villages, etc.  to the haunting beauty of birds' song, to the peaceful and familiar scene of a countryside in Vietnam. She did emphasis the peace in the context of the war, to highlight the rare moments of peace could be found in a war-torn place like Vietnam.

Read the passage
gtnhenbr [62]

The correct answers are:

1)In this passage the authorship point of view allows the narrator to A)tells a story more objectively.

2)The effect of telling the sory from a third person limited point of view is B) The reader can experience everythin Levi thought and felt.

3) The point of view in the story would be accurately described as B)Third person limited.

The second question already states that the narrator is telling the story from a third person limited point of view. This kind of narrative voice only knows what one character felt or thought, and the story is strongly focused on him, but we also see what surrounds him. This is different from a third person omniscient, that would be a god-like figure who could switch focus from one character to another, knowing what everyone felt or did.

This point of view allows to tell a story more objectively since we do not receive the information directly from the character and his limited views like a first person narrator would. We know what the main character is doing and thinking without the obvservations or the subjective perspectives of the characters. We are "watching" the plot from outside the frame.

Which statement is most likely a theme of a work of fiction? A) traditions are important and can help make our lives meaningful.
VikaD [51]

Answer:

A. Traditions are important and can help make our lives meaningful.

Explanation:

That answer choice is a theme and its the best answer choice. I chose it because its talking about holidays and the general information on how they are meaningful and could impact our lives. The other answer choices are opinions; Tamara practices hard is an opinion from one person, Our state is home to the mountain doesn't tell us any specific information including the state, and many Americans spend time with family is okay but it's not the best and some people don't even celebrate holidays with their family. So therefore the best answer choice is A.
