In his journey to the Galapagos Islands, Charles Darwin was amazed by the variation in the characteristics of plants and animals

he encountered. In any habitat, food can be limited and the types of foods available may vary. One year, there was no rain on these islands. Many plants failed to bloom and produced no new seeds. This left mostly large, tough seeds for the finches to eat. Describe one change in beak characteristics that would most likely occur in the finch population after many generations if this change in seed size became permanent.

Describe where and how the body would break down surcose?
julsineya [31]
Sucrase breaks down sucrose (or “table sugar”) into glucose and fructose, and lactase breaks down lactose (or “milk sugar”) into glucose and galactose. The monosaccharides (glucose) thus produced are absorbed and then can be used in metabolic pathways to harness energy.

Korolek [52]
First is Light. This area in the deep sea, where there is totally no light at all. Creatures survive by producing their own light through chemical reaction, which is called bioluminescence. Second is Food. Since light cannot reach this area anymore, photosynthesis cannot take place. The creatures feed on decaying organisms.
Last is Oxygen. Aphotic region is the coldest region of the sea and have an adequate amount of oxygen.
