Given :

There are 36 tickets sold for a raffle for the Student Art Auction, and there are two prizes to be awarded.

Dionte buys two tickets.

To Find :

The probability that he will win both price.

Solution :

Number of prizes available, p = 2

Probability of getting price from first draw :

P_1=\dfrac{2}{36}\\\\P_1=\dfrac{1}{18}

Probability of getting price from second draw if he won first prize :

P_2=\dfrac{2-1}{36-1}\\\\P_2=\dfrac{1}{35}

So, probability of winning both prize :

P=P_1\times P_2\\\\P=\dfrac{2}{36}\times \dfrac{1}{35}\\\\P=0.00159

Therefore, probability of winning both prize is 0.00159 .

Hence, this is the required solution.

6p + 4 / 7 + 5p - 6 / 2 - 3p / 4 when p = 4
vesna_86 [32]

Step-by-step explanation:

Given p = 4,

substitute p= 4 into the expression

6p+4/7+5p-6/2-3p/4

6(4) +  \frac{4}{7}  + 5(4) -  \frac{6}{2}  -  \frac{3(4)}{4}  \\  = 24 +  \frac{4}{7}  + 20 - 3 - 3 \\  = 44 +  \frac{4}{7}  - 3 - 3 \\  = 38 +  \frac{4}{7}  \\  = 38 \frac{4}{7}

Pam open a bank account with $200 deposit that account had a simple interest rate of 4.6% her most recent bank statement shows a
Marina86 [1]

Answer:

t=14\ years

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The simple interest formula is equal to

A=P(1+rt)

where

A is the Final Investment Value

P is the Principal amount of money to be invested

r is the rate of interest

t is Number of Time Periods

in this problem we have

t=?\ years\\ P=\$200\\ A=\$328.80\\r=0.046

substitute in the formula above  and solve for t

328.80=200(1+0.046t)

(328.80/200)=(1+0.046t)

t=[(328.80/200)-1]/0.046

t=14\ years
