Social institutions are the institutions that are vital in fulfilling societal needs. It should be noted that the family is a vital social institution which is created by either blood, or marriage.
Also, the school and the government are also social institutions. The government as a social institutions make rules which guide the people in the society.
Therefore, best friends are not social institution.
