Nitrogenous waste (ammonia, urea and uric acid) is excreted by bony fishes, mammals, and insects.

Further Explanation:

The nucleic acid and protein consist of nitrogen. Excess amount of nitrogen is eliminated from the body. The uric acid, urea, and nitrogen present in the waste product of body are called nitrogenous metabolic waste.

Mainly terrestrial animals secrete uric acid and urea as the nitrogenous waste. Urea is an odorless solid, colorless, non-toxic and more soluble in water. Mammals mainly humans, are the main producer of urea. They are called ureotelic animals because they eliminate urea from the body as the main product of nitrogenous waste. Also, amphibians and some wishes eliminate urea in their urine.

Reptiles, birds, and mainly terrestrial arthropods, like insects, convert toxic ammonia into the uric acid are called uricotelic organisms. This is less toxic than ammonia. The marine water fish secrete trimethylamine oxide and urea. The fish present in freshwater secrete ammonia and they are ammonotelic animals.
