I have never told a lie to avoid an uncomfortable situation
Nimfa-mama [501]
Yes, there have been many times when you have to lie to get out of a situation. For example, I remember a time when I was being asked humiliating questions by a total stranger, so I lied and said that I had to go due to family issues including my mother. It is okay to lie in uncomfortable situations.

Why does hamlet tell rosencrantz and guildenstern that denmark's a prison?
avanturin [10]
Hamlet refers to Denmark as a prison because he feels trapped inside the city, that he knows he can't escape Claudius The King. Yet he also knows that whatever he says to Guildenstern & Rosencrantz will be repeated again to the King.(Recall that the King sent them to spy on Hamlet)  Hamlet is basically indirectly sending a message to the King, telling him that he known he's being kept a prisoner in the city of Denmark
