Answer:

perimeter-

perimeter outer rectangle = 2 (l+b)

=2×8+9

= 2×17

2×17 =34 cm sq.

perimeter of inner rectangle = 2 (l+b)

= 2×5+3

=2× 8

= 16 cm sq.

perimeter of shaded portion= 34 - 16

= 18 cm sq.

area-

<em>area</em><em> </em><em>of</em><em> </em><em> </em><em>inner</em><em> </em> rectangle =l×b

l×b = 3×5

3×5=15

15 cm sq.

area of outer rectangle =l×b

l×b= 9×8

9×8= 72

72 cm sq.

area of shaded portion = 72 -15 =57 cm sq.

hey there! In second method i have done first area of inner rectangle but you have to do first area of outer rectangle...

hope it helps you....

Answer:

Let A1 = be the large rectangle and A2 the small rectangle

=> Area A1: S1 = a1.b1 => S1 = 8 x 9 = 72m2

=> Area A2: S2 = a2.b2 => S2 = 3 x 5 = 15 m2

=> Area of the remaining surrounding square: S1-S2 = 72-15 = 67m2

=> Perimeter A1: P1 = 2 (a1 + b1) = 2 (9 + 8) = 34m

=> Perimeter A2: P2 = 2 (a2 + b2) = 2 (3 + 5) = 16m

=> Perimeter of the surrounding square: P1-P2 = 34-16 = 18m

Please answer 10 point + brainlyest = 1 big thank u
solmaris [256]

<em><u>Step-by-step explanation:</u></em>

FIRST, we want to understand every property:

Associative Property: The associative property states that you can add or multiply regardless of how the numbers are grouped so (5 + 4) + 3 = 5 + (4 + 3)

Commutative Property: Commutative is the one that refers to moving stuff around so 3 + 2 = 2 + 3

Additive Inverse Property: This is the number that when added to the original number, equals 0 or it's the opposite of the number so 5 <- is the original number and -5 <- is the additive inverse.

Simplify: Is just to add like terms, and make the equation the simplest.

1. ORIGINAL EXPRESSION

2. Additive Inverse Property

3. Commutative property

4. Associative Property

5. Simplify

Right triangle ABC has three sides with lengths AB= 119, BC = 169, CA= 120. Find the value of cos C. hint: draw and label the tr
GenaCL600 [577]

Answer:

\cos(C)=\frac{120}{169}

Step-by-step explanation:

The triangle is shown in the attachment.

Recall that;

\cos(C)=\frac{Adjacent}{Hypotenuse}

This implies that;

\cos(C)=\frac{|AC|}{|BC|}

We substitute the values into the ratio to obtain

\cos(C)=\frac{120}{169}

4. Can the following list represent a complete probability model?
Ivenika [448]

Answer:

Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

A complete probability model should sum up the probability to 1

by adding them up, you will find the sum as 1/12 + 8/12 + 3/12 = 12/12

So, they can be a complete probability model with 3 outcomes "2", "3" & "4"
