He closed his eyes, listening to the crashing waves, an oddly comforting sound he had loved ever since he was a child.

Soon another sound reached his ears, like an unexpected voice in the faint but an unmistakable bleating of sheep. He knew the sheep could not be heard this far from the farm. For a moment, he wondered if he was daydreaming or falling asleep.

When he opened his eyes, Hoolihan was furiously barking behind him, causing Jonathan to turn around abruptly. To his horror, he saw dozens of sheep trying to hold their ground as they got closer and closer to the edge of the cliff.

Explanation:

the underlined words are the ones corrected. The a in the second paragraph where it says "like an unexpected voice a in the faint but unmistakable bleating of sheep." That a is not needed, so I removed the a.

Which aspect of this excerpt from Christina Rossetti's poem "Remember" would the imagists have disliked?
Alex
I am not sure, because i am not super familiar with imagists, but i think i could be A. From what I gathered, imagists were a group of people who liked clear, sharp language that created a pristine image, so ordinary language seems like it would not appeal to them that much.
