Yodeling is a vocal technique once used by shepherds in the Swiss Alps. To yodel, you first have to find your normal, or "chest,

" voice, and your high, or "head," voice. Yodeling involves switching between these two ranges of sound, or registers, and finding the break between them. To begin, make an "ah" sound and move your voice from low to high, listening for the break. Try to keep your voice relaxed, but don't allow the notes to flow smoothly. Unlike other styles of singing, yodeling requires you to emphasize the break between notes.
Which author's purpose is suggested by the text?

to teach readers how to yodel

What words do you think are fighting words?? and what would you do?
yaroslaw [1]

Answer:

Well what you are saying “fighting words” are offensive names. So probably names that most people wouldn’t want to be called. I’m usually a chill person, and don’t get mad very easil. But if it was someone else getting called these names, then I would obviously stand up for them and get mad.

Hope this helps!

Read lines 1 and 2 from the poem: My song has put off her adornments. She has no pride of dress and decoration. Who or what does
sammy [17]

Answer:

The word "she" in that sentence refers to the author's song.

Explanation:

In this exercise, you have to answer to who or what does the word "she" refer in the lines one and two from the poem “My song has put off her adornments” by Rabindranath Tagore.

The word "she" refers to the song the author is writing about, because in the first line of his poem the authour says his song has put off her adornments and then he explains which adornments. He refers to his song as "she".
