Basically the main function of both of these has to do with blood. Arteries are important because they move blood away from the heart. Veins do the opposite of arteries and actually return blood back to the heart! They are both very important for the body.
It supports the human body which allows it to keep its shape, it protects certain organs, it allows movement through muscles, it produces red blood cells, and it stores minerals like calcium.
