We'll when they do not know each other and when it comes to deciding on what movie they are going to watch individually, they are independent.
However, the second person is dependent on the first person in the line whn buying the ticket,if the first person cant decide the second person needs to wait for his turn,.

A diver is standing on a platform 24 feet above the pool. He dives form the platform with an initial upward velocity of 8 feet p
Mazyrski [523]

Answer:

It should be t = 1.5 seconds  if your equation is  h(t)  = -16*t^2 + 8t + 24

Step-by-step explanation:

h(t)  = -16*t^2 + 8t + 24

We want  to solve for t when h(t) = 0.

This is a parabolic equation so basically we can use the quadratic formula to solve this.

h(t)  = -16*t^2 + 8t + 24

0 = h(t)  = -16*t^2 + 8t + 24

take out the 8

0 = -2t^2 + t + 3

0 = -2t*t  - 2t  + 3t + 3

0 = -2t * (t + 1)  +  3*( t + 1)

0 = (-2t + 3) * ( t + 1)

so time cannot be negative, so we choose  0 = (-2t + 3),   t = 3/2 seconds

or  t = 1.5 seconds

What is the m=<br> And what is the equation<br> Please help me asap its almost due
Alenkasestr [34]

Answer:

m = 1\frac{1}{7}, y = 1\frac{1}{7}x + 10

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line is y = mx + c where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept. I will be calculating the slope using the points (7, 2) and (0, 10)

m = \frac{rise}{run}

   = \frac{2-10}{7-0}

   = \frac{8}{7}

   = 1\frac{1}{7}

Based on the graph, the y-intercept is 10. Thus, the equation of the line is 1\frac{1}{7}x + 10.

If you go out to eat with 3 friends and your meal was $72.50, what should you leave for gratuninty if you want to tip your waite
kvv77 [185]

Answer:

$10.88 or round up to $11

Step-by-step explanation:

Since 15 is expressed as a percent, you can convert it to a decimal.

.15, which can also be 15/100 if you were to write it as a fraction.

You are trying to find 15% of 72.50 so you would need to multiply your new decimal (.15) to your meal total. This will give you 10.875 or 10.88.
