Answer and Explanation:

As you may already know, "Odyssey" is an epic story written, probably, by Homer. The story takes place in Greece, during the Trojan War and we learn about the achievements and adventures of the hero Odysseus and his attempts to return home.

In part I of this story, we are introduced to topics such as cunning and fidelity. Cunning is presented through Odisseuy's deeds, which is the main characteristic of this hero. Cunning is presented at all times in the work, pointing Odysseus as someone who is courageous, daring and intelligent. Fidelity, on the other hand, is presented through Odysseus' remorse for not being faithful to his wife during many moments in his adventures.

Part II of this work presents other themes such as character flaws and hospitality. The character flaw is also a great feature of Odysseus and shows how imperfect the hero is, in addition to humanizing him and allowing readers to identify with him. The hospitality is due to Odisseu's wife, who needs to receive in her home many suitors who bother her and destroy her family's patrimony.

PLZ HELP I WILL GIVE BRAINLIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
givi [52]

Answer:

In fiction, ‘internal conflict’ refers to a character’s internal struggle. A character might struggle with an emotional problem such as fear of intimacy or abandonment, for example. Internal conflict is important for characterization, since flaws and internal struggles make characters more lifelike and sympathetic.

External conflict, on the other hand, refers to the conflicts between a character and external forces. This type of conflict can be between one character and another or a group (or between groups of characters). It can also be between a character and more abstract forces. For example, a bleak and hostile environment in a post-apocalyptic novel.

Both types of conflict, internal and external, are useful because they create:

Tension: Because of conflict’s uncertainty, we want to know how it resolves and keep turning pages to find out

Stakes: Conflict suggests worst-case outcomes and makes resolution urgent (the hero must overcome the antagonist/environment or themselves ‘or else…’)

Character development: Conflict allows for dramatic incidents and confrontations that test characters and cause them to learn and adapt

So how do you use external and internal conflict to develop characters

The concern with getting daughters married into good families pervades Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and forms a large part
olya-2409 [2.1K]
Mrs.Bennet is a character and a static one at that, she goes back and forth between liking Mr. Bingley and being over the moon about the appearance of him which just goes to show how absurd she is about the whole thing. "<span>At our time of life it is not so pleasant, I can tell you, to be making new acquaintances every day; but for your sakes, we would do anything." I would think this part of the passage suits the issue quite nicely as she gushes on about how they would do anything to get their daughters married even at their age.</span>
