The goal for the open housing campaign was created in response to the open discrimination in the city of Seattle. It made it illegal to discrimante against porspective homebuyers on the basis of religion, race , or gender.

It was initially formed to counter the military capabilities of the USSR. It currently has 28 member countries from North America and Europe.

The Warsaw Pact was the Soviet Union's response to NATO, and was formed in 1955. It is also a mutual defense agreement among 8 member countries in the Soviet Union and Central and Eastern Europe.
