I think Johnny shouldn't have been punished for killing Bob Sheldon because it was self defense. Johnny has already been confronted by him, and got his ne k slit with glass, and they almost cut his hair. When Johnny used Two-bit's switch blade to defend him and Ponyboy, he was drowning ponyboy in the fountain at the park.
