difference in volume = volume of prism with dimensions doubled / original volume of prism

Volume of a prism = length x width x height

original volume of prism = 7 x 5 x 12 = 420

doubled dimensions of  prism = (7x2) x (5x2) x (12 x 2)

volume = 14 x 10 x 24 = 3360

3360 / 420 = 8
