to tom;
hey tom ! how are you? i miss you so much . How's your school going? i hope everything is okay ! i wanted to share this story of mine with you. I had a holiday for 11 days so i decided to go to an iland and sail a boat there ,, as soon as i rode the boat ,, the sun started shining as bright as gold and the wind touched my hair softly .. i was enjoying my time until a huge ship with lots of pirates came and was about to hit our small boat . The pirates looked so awful and they were ready to fight! Suddenly they brought a rope and caught us , threw us in their boat and wanted to fight !! i really had the courage to do such thing so each one of us held his sword and we started fighting .. after 30 min if straight fights i won on them !!! after we returned back to our boat , i went back to the iland and returned back home ! it really was an amazing a nd tiring fight ! i wished that you were there with me ! i love you so much pls stay safe and take care!!
sincerly yours

The dialogue from the passage that reveals that Lubin is sympathetic toward Isabel is:
- B. "These things are almost more than I can bear."

What is a sympathetic feeling?

A sympathetic feeling is one that is aimed at showing solidarity with the pains of another individual. In the dialogue above, we can see that Lubin feels very sad for Isabel. They had both lost the people they loved to other persons and were united in misery.
After Lubin explained that Rose-Anna had left him, Isabel mentioned that Robert had left her for another girl and Lubin heaved a sigh while saying, 'these things were almost more than he could bear."
This statement shows that he was sympathetic toward Isabel as she was troubled and they both had suffered the same fate. The case of these individuals shows that when friends discuss issues and talk about their problems with each other, they tend to express thoughts that indicate sympathy for their different plights.
