Read these paragraphs from the excerpt:
Romashka [77]

I believe the correct answer is: The two paragraphs provide details about the solution that the previous paragraph introduces.

     In this excerpt from “A Cooking Revolution: How Clean Energy and Cookstoves Are Saving Lives” written by Chef Jose Andres, author uses the one-sentence paragraph ("It's also why I'm proud to support an effort to bring clean cookstoves and fuels to millions of people in developing countries") as the base for the introduction of the solution, after which he places these paragraphs to provide the details to the solution.

What is photosynthesis ?

\purple{\underline{{\boxed{\bf{ ANSWER: }}}}}

The process through which green plants prepare their own food is known as photosynthesis.

\blue{\underline{{\boxed{\bf{EXPLANATION: }}}}}

<u>Photosynthesis- The food making process in Plants:</u>

The synthesis of food in plants occurs in their leaves. Hence, leaves are called the food factories of the plants. The leaves have a green pigment called chlorophyll. It helps leaves to capture the energy of the sunlight. This energy is used by the pants to synthesise their food using carbon dioxide and water. This process is known as Photosynthesis.

(photo = light ; synthesise = to combine) as it takes place in the presence of sunlight.
