World Languages

Correct Answer is: The Main Idea of a text can be found at the beginning, the middle, or the end of the text.

Explanation:

You can have many ideas, but you must narrow them down to a few main ideas.

Take this as an example essay question:

Why should children have mandatory schooling?

You come up with 10 ideas including 9. school can be fun and 10. You make lots of friends and goof off all day. You look at the 10 ideas and decide that most are unimportant. You decide to write about 3 points:

School teaches basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.

School builds on basic skills in ways that help in real life situations.

School grades 1 to 12 prepares students to go on to college or to get entry-level employment.

You can address these 3 points in a short essay, but you cannot adequately address 10 or more ideas. Plus, these 3 also have a theme of "teaching, building, preparing" students for later life.

This is the generic example that i have used in this question.

How could answer this question in Chinese?
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Explanation:

In this first article we’ll look at Zh, Ch, Sh and R. In the next article we’ll cover Z, C, S.

These sound are mainly “difficult” because they are not pronounced how we would expect them to be in English. The fact that Roman letters are used just makes it confusing. That’s one of the weaknesses of pinyin. For a number of the sounds the letters are the same or at least very close to the English sound that uses the same letter.

Now we’re at the point where we need to totally ignore the fact that these letters exist in English and try to remove any sound associations we already have. C for example is pronounced closer to “ts”, nothing like the English c.

The good news is that if we relate these sounds to other Chinese sounds we have already learned our task is much simpler. This little hack will help us get a grip with these sounds a lot quicker than if we work from English sounds.

Em que espaço a história acontece?
miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

Si entiendo correctamente lo que vemos en el espacio es el pasado porque el tiempo que tarda la luz de los objetos en el espacio en llegar a la Tierra significa que cuando "miramos planetas, estrellas y galaxias, en realidad estamos mirando hacia atrás en el tiempo".
