Shane felt a hand on his shoulder. He jumped up to see who it was. Nothing could prepare him for what he saw. The creature in front of him was horrible. It had two heads, and four eyes on each. The monster was tall and thin, much bigger than Shane.
“Who are you and what are you doing in my room?” Shane shrieked, but the creature just shook its head. The monster put its giant hand on his forehead. Moments later Shane was fast asleep, and the creature slowly left his room. The next morning he tried to think back on how this peculiar thing looked, but all of his memories felt like a blur.

Nothing could have prepared him for what he saw.

He was ignorant, clueless, and gloomy. Nobody liked him, and they always ignored him.

But he had no idea they would do this.

To cause him this much pain and agony, he couldn't believe it.

He turned his head shakily and panted.

Sure enough, it was still there. The monster that had taken his only friend.

He contemplated jumping at the monster in the hopes of ending his misery.

But no. He had to prove that no monster could defeat him.

He took a deep breath and began to run once more.

Answer:

B. Alliteration

Explanation:

An alliteration is a type of figurative language that has words that start with the same letter. In this case, the words Walter, wondrous, winter, and wonderland all begin w and make up the majority of the sentence, therefore it is an alliteration.
