As of a result, angry mobs attacked the prisons of Paris and speedily murdered half the men and women they spotted. The first attack happened when twenty-four clergymen staying brought to a prison named L'Abbaye were stormed by a masses of mad citizens of Paris. They speedily killed all of the clergymen as they were trying to depart into the prison and went on to kill other prisoners as well. Approximately 1200 prisoners were assassinated.
