marriage is the union of two people who choose to stay together to achieve a common goal or to bare offspring. most people enter marriage for convenience, others due to love, some due to family arrangement, business merger and so on. culture as the way of life of people has also play a huge role in marriage union. some cultures usually permit the parent to choose the bride or groom even without the consent of the person who is to marry. the children has no say in the matter of their commitment in the marriage. they just have to follow the directives of their parent. marriage is till death do us path, that it is a life commitment where you have to embrace the other persons culture and traditions as your own and work together. modern ideas in marriage includes the choosing your own bride /groom, having a say in who you marriage and even breaking off from marriage that causes you emotional and physical harm. with modern ideas, one can marry without even considering the culture of the other partner, marry when they like and how they like and parents gives upper and free hand to their children. modernization have affected so many characters in this issue of marriage. some still want to follow the old while others the new.
