Answer: A.) Alliteration

Explanation:

alliteration-the occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closely connected words.

hyperbole- is the use of exaggeration as a rhetorical device or figure of speech.

metaphor-a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable.

assonance-in poetry, the repetition of the sound of a vowel in non-rhyming stressed syllables near enough to each other for the echo to be discernible

I hope this is good enough:

The banker was probably motivated to make the wager by his hatred for the jurist. True or False = I'm thinking False, but idk.
seropon [69]
The banker had negative feelings towards the jurist. In the story, the jurist did him some not so good things. We would expect that the wager was done out of hatred for the jurist. The banker wanted to take revenge aginst the jurist.

In their early conversations, how does Romeo describe his feelings for Juliet? A. She is a saint, and he is a pilgrim who adores
Rainbow [258]
A. She is a saint, and he is a pilgrim who adores her.

It says, in their early conversations, therefore not in any of their soliloquies. In their first conversation, there are lines such as "For saints have hands, that pilgrim hands do touch." Therefore A is the correct answer.

Answer: A) Personification

Explanation:

The winter weather isn't a person, but the author is making it seem like the cold wind is from Jack Frost's breath. So the author is making the wind or just cold weather in general seem like a person of sorts, or part of a person's traits. Personification is the act of turning any inanimate object or non-human thing to have human traits. Hence the "person" in "personification".

Other examples of personification are sentences like:

 • The tree danced in the wind
 • The river swallowed more ground as the water rose more rapidly
 • Time flies when you're having fun
 • The ocean lashed angrily at the beach.

I'm sure you can probably come up with more creative examples or look them up elsewhere to get a better grasp on how personification works.

Which word in the sentence is the indirect object? Did you pick her a bunch of wildflowers?
Rus_ich [418]
The indirect object usually expressed the beneficiary of an action: for whom or for whose sake was the task performed. Here it's "her" - she is getting the flowers. The flowers are the direct object.
