It depends on the risk that individual is ready to accept. with 35 years to go I would start with aggressive high tech companies mutual fund 75%, 20% corporate bonds and 5% obligations of US government. With time I would decrease high tech fund and increase corporate bonds. The main point is diversification that lowers risk.

Feliz [49]

Answer:

The question is incomplete, below is the completed question:

Lense Laboratories' net income was $250,000. Given the account information below, what is the net operating cash flows for Lense Laboratories?

Increase In Accounts Receivable...$60,000

Increase In Salaries Payable...$50,000

Decrease In Inventory...$30,000

Depreciation Expense...$45,000

Increase In Prepaid Insurance...$3,000

a. $152,000.

b. $278,000.

c. $312,000.

d. $438,000.

The correct answer is:

$312,000 (c.)

Explanation:

operating cash flow is the number of cash generated by a business' regular operating activities within a specific time period.

The formula for net operating cash flow is as follows:

Operating cash flow = Net income + Non-cash expenses - increase in working capital

Net income = $250,000

Non-cash expenses = increase in salary payable + decrease in inventory + depreciation in expenses

Non-cash expenses = 50,000 + 30,000 + 45,000 = $125,000

increase in working capital = increase in accounts receivable + increase in prepaid insurance

increase in working capital = 60,000 + 3,000

increase in working capital = $63,000

∴ Operating cash flow = 250,000 + 125,000 - 63,000 = $312,000

Cash flow from activities = $312,000

Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer:

It will take 6 years to generate an amount of 1,925

Explanation:

Amount - Principal = Interest

1,925 - 1,300 = 625 interest

Then we calcualte the interest

Principal \times rae \times time = Interest

We post our know values and sovle for time

1,300 x 0.08 x time = 625

625/(1,300x0.08) = time 6.0096 = 6 years

"A small grocery store has three employees working each shift, but they only" have one checkout register. Depending on which emp
serg [7]

Answer:

establishment of responsibility

Explanation:

One of the principles of control activities is establishment of responsibility. This establishment of responsibilty means that an employee is meant to have a level of responsibilty for his work as well as decisions taken.

From the question, it can be seen that the use of one register by three worker working diffeent shifts ensure a lack of responsibilty on the part of the workers. This is because if each of the workers had seperate registers for entering customer check out, there would be more responsibilty from the workers in discharging their duties as any mistakes will be owned by each worker.

Cheers.
